Town of New Tecumseth Day Camps are designed to keep participants busy and safe in a fun and interactive environment! We offer camps for children born between 2000 and 2006.

SUMMER DAY CAMP HAS TWO PERMANENT LOCATIONS!
Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre & New Tecumseth Recreation Centre 

Camp hours:

• Camp operates from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday.
• Please Note: these times must be respected or an additional fee will apply. Camp is not offered on Monday August 6, 2012

Before and After (Extended) Care:

• Camps offer before and after care. This service provides passive games in a supervised setting.
• Before Care 7:00 – 9:00 am is $15.00
• After Care 4:00 – 6:00 pm is $15.00
• Both Before Care & After Care is $25.00
• Pre-registration is required one week in advance. Your child may be one-on-one with a counsellor.

What campers need:

• Lunch, snack & drinks (due to a number of nut-related allergies, peanut butter, nuts & foods containing nut by products are NOT allowed at camp)
• Sunscreen (please apply prior to drop off – sunscreen checks will be conducted throughout the day)
• Insect repellent
• Hat, jacket or sweater, rain gear
• Bathing suit & towel. Campers must wear running shoes. No sandals please!!

Swimming:

• Supervised recreation swim times are scheduled at  Alliston Rotary Pool (weather permitting)

• Tottenham Camps will be bussed to Alliston Rotary Pool one afternoon per week.

• Alliston Camps will participate in public swim at the Alliston Rotary Pool daily.

• Does your child require the use of a life jacket during swim time? Please tell your day camp counsellor.

What should parents know?

HEALTH AND SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY

• We strictly adhere to a sign in/sign out system. A signature will be required each time you drop off & pick up your child.
• A permission form will be distributed the first day of camp regarding to who will be permitted to pick up your child, or if they are allowed to leave unaccompanied.
• Counsellors will not apply sunscreen to any camper without prior written consent from a parent.
• In order to make camp a positive experience please include, at the time of registration, details on any special needs, allergies, personal care issues or medical concerns.
• We do not administer medication.

Please review the following safety-oriented rules with your child to ensure camper safety:

• Campers will not be permitted to leave unaccompanied by a staff member.
• We expect that campers will not intentionally harm themselves or others. Bullying and play fighting are not appropriate behaviors for campers.
• The Town of New Tecumseth Parks, Recreation and Culture Department reserves the right to suspend or withdraw a camper from the program.
• All campers and counsellors are expected to clean up after themselves at the end of each activity.

Inclusion in Day Camp:

• Mediators are welcome to accompany any child who requires assistance to be involved in our summer camp programs.
• Inclusive leaders are available for participants who need assistance, however spaces are limited, so please book early by contacting the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre 705 435 4030.
