Nestled among the trees of Riverdale Park the Museum on the Boyne features a 1915 agricultural fair building, an 1851 log cabin and an 1858 English barn. The museum houses a mixed collection of household, agricultural, industrial and archival artifacts that depict life in South Simcoe from settlement to present day. The site offers guided and self-guided tours, educational programs, special exhibits, events, workshops and research facilities.
Children’s Programs
Preschool, educational and holiday programming at the museum combines structured educational elements with freestyle creative play to give your child the best hands-on experience available!
Museum Exhibits
The museum’s mandate of exhibiting items from settlement to present day allows staff to explore fascinating topics from all eras. Learn about Sir Frederick Banting in Banting’s Laboratory or swoon over accessories in A Touch of Glamour.
Adult Programs
The museum has an interesting line-up of adult programming with something to interest everyone. Programs include Historic Cemetery Tours, Book Sales, Paranormal Investigations, a Christmas Craft Sale, Walking Tours and more.
