ACCESSIBILITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This Committee provides information to the Mayor and Members of Council about the Ontarians with Disabilities Act; the Town’s requirements under the Act and to recommend a course of action. The Committee has prepared an Accessibility Plan with a goal to maximize the independence and dignity of all individuals in our community and to create a consumer-friendly community with opportunities for everyone's participation in the life of the Town of New Tecumseth. The Accessibility Plan is posted on the Town's website.
CEMETERY BOARD
This three (3) member board oversees the ongoing maintenance of the abandoned cemeteries maintained by the Town of New Tecumseth. The Town maintains six (6) abandoned cemeteries through its Cemetery Board - Churchill (Black Horse), Monkman's Presbyterian, Ozman, Penville United, Thompsonville Methodist, and Necropolis (Alliston).
COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT
This seven (7) member Committee is established under the authority of the Planning Act to grant minor variances from the provisions of by-laws passed under the Planning Act and to give consents under the Planning Act. The Committee of Adjustment meets the 4th Thursday of the month (as required) at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Administration Centre.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This Committee develops recommendations and strategies for economic development matters that may impact on the Town of New Tecumseth. It provides recommendations to Council on matters related to the attraction and retention of businesses and other economic development matters.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES TASK FORCE
The mandate of the Environmental Issues Task Force is to develop recommendations and strategies respecting environmental matters that may impact on the Town of New Tecumseth and to provide comments to staff and Council on matters related to the environment.
HERITAGE NEW TECUMSETH ADVISORY BOARD
The Heritage New Tecumseth Advisory Board is established to advise and assist Council, staff, and citizens on matters relating to the Ontario Heritage Act.
LIBRARY BOARD
This Board is established under the authority of the Public Libraries Act for a four (4) year term to provide programs and services to meet the educational, informational, cultural, recreational and leisure needs of all individuals and organizations within the community, to promote the library within the community and to actively encourage the widest possible use of its services and facilities and to seek continually to identify and evaluate community needs and to provide materials, programmes and services to meet such needs.
MUSEUM ON THE BOYNE
This Committee reviews and make recommendations regarding policies and by-laws related to the museum and associated out buildings, the museum collection, the educational program and new acquisitions as well as the promotion of public awareness of the museum.
PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
This Committee promotes the economic, social, personal and environmental benefits of parks, recreation and culture and advises and makes recommendations to Council on how to strengthen parks, recreation and culture service delivery and to better provide for the recreation and community service needs of the citizens.

PESTICIDE TASK FORCE
This Committee's mandate is to research and consider the use of pesticides in the Town of New Tecumseth and to consider education programs, landscape practices, and to provide recommendations for the consideration of Council.
TOTTENHAM CONSERVATION AREA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
In co-operation with New Tecumseth Council, this Committee works to maintain and enhance the natural environment of the Tottenham Conservation Area and promotes public awareness of the environmental, economic and social benefits of the Tottenham Conservation Area.
