Council receives numerous requests each year to make proclamations in support of special events. Proclamations can be for one day, one week or for an entire month depending on the event.

Most proclamations recognize Canada wide events such as Remembrance Day, Fire Prevention Week, Nurses Week, Red Cross Month and Big Brothers Month to name a few.  Occasionally a local request will be presented such as Sir Frederick Banting Day and Physician Appreciation Day.

All proclamations are signed by the Mayor on behalf of Council and posted in the lobby of the Administration Centre for public viewing.  Requests for proclamations are to be addressed to the Mayor and Members of Council and delivered to the Town of New Tecumseth, 10 Wellington Street East, P.O. Box 910, Alliston, ON  L9R 1A1 for consideration.  Submissions may also be sent via email.
